French Immersion / Bilingual Pre-School (18mths-5yrs.old)

2-5 days per week

We believe in "Learning through play".Children participate in Gym time in our large, colorful and spacious play area, Classroom including puzzles, peg boards,fine motor toys, outdoor play at the local parks, and Creative movement (circle time). Smaller classes allow more one on one with the children allowing the educators to get to know each child individually. In elementary school children are placed in large classes, we believe at the early ages of 1-5yrs.old each child needs as much one on one attention in order for their physical, emotional and social selves to grow.

If you want your child to be speaking French and comfortable with the French Language this is the place for you.  Ethan`s Playground, which started in 2000, is responding  to the increasing demand in the community of French! French!  French!    Ethan`s Playground Pre-School is now offering a core French Program, to compliment our  English academic program, coupled with co-operative games, computer time, cooking , science, and so forth.  French will be taught five full mornings per week, where there will be French Circle Time, Introduction to all Vocabulary for all Pre-School Themes that are introduced, Songs, French Pictionary, Conversational Skills(ie- Comment ca va... Ca va bien merci et vous...) French Workbooks, Songbooks, and so much more will be provided by the Pre-School. This program would be great for all kids but it might be of  particular interest to Anglophone kids, Immigrant Children who want to learn languages, shy kids, who would benefit by being in a fun, and socially stimulating environment, etc...

FIREFLIES 18-24MTHS (2-5 days per week) .
LADY BUGS 2YRS.OLD (2-5 days per week) .
BUMBLEBEES 3 Year Olds (3-5 days per week) 
DRAGONFLIES 4-5  Year Olds (3-5 days per week)   

Field trips throughout the year reinforce what is taught in the classroom(ie- Apple Picking in the Fall, etc...) Ethan`s Playground is a bright and spacious centre with a Gym Area, Creative Movement room(Circle time), Classroom area(puzzles, peg boards, water table, sand table, building block area, play-doh table  and so much more... We educate the children by using popular Pre-School themes-using stencils, arts & Crafts, songs, games, scavenger hunts.  Pre-Math(shapes, colors, numbers), Pre-Printing(ie-writing their names, letters, numbers, cutting with scissors), and Pre-Reading (letter recognition, intitial letter sounds, etc...) will be taught in French and English.    School is starting soon....Limited Spaces!  First Come, First Serve!!!

Hi Jenn,
I just wanted to say thank-you for such a great Valentine's party you have organized!  I saw Rosalie as well as all the other children make every single art which was  in that room, however when I entered that circle room or shall I say the "Salle de Vernissage"  I was amazed and literally had chills!  It only hit me as I was driving home, that my baby contributed to that beautiful display- I cried.  I have seen children's art displayed at other schools before, however the way you set everything up made it so special that I will always remember it. I will also remember the look on all the other parents faces and not to mention their little sweethearts proud faces!
Rosalie and I  are glad to be a part of Ethan's "Playground" Pre-school, thanks again and have a fantastic Valentine's day!

Thanks again for everything, Jenn.  I'm so impressed with your school and program and everything so far!  The girls are loving it, talk about what they do every day and I'm seeing so much of what they're learning.  It's just thrilling and comforting and so amazing!  I cannot be happier that we found you!!! BTW, when I asked them last week who their favourite new friend at school was, they both answered, "Ms. Jenn"! They are definitely loving pre-school with you, Mme. Caroline and Ms. Maria.  I hear lots of stories about their friends and they love incorporating all of them in their pretend play -- it's wonderful! -JEN. M

Hi Jenn, Just wanted to thank you again for a fabulous two years, Jaxon thoroughly loved his time spent with you.
